Isabella Bunce
Isabella Bunce is a Sydney-based artist and Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate whose oil paintings explore the fragile interplay between time, perception, and memory. Working with an intentionally overexposed palette, she captures the blur and distortion of recollection, allowing forms to dissolve into hazy forms of colour. Guided by a sensitivity to stillness, her practice draws on the influence of photographic film to transform everyday domestic moments into meditative reflections on remembering. Thin washes and diffused light evoke a space between presence and absence. Bunce’s work invites viewers to slow down, linger, and consider how memory continually reshapes the present.
