Braidon Fairclough
Sydney-based artist Braidon Fairclough (b. 2001, Australia) currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Art with a focus in Sculpture, works with found architectural fragments and industrial remnants. He reconfigures these discarded materials through casting in plaster, clay, wax, and pewter, allowing damaged objects, broken masonry, abandoned machinery—to unfold into new material identities. Fairclough’s practice explores the tension between ornament and fragment, where traces of past use meet possibilities for transformation. By replicating and reshaping overlooked forms, he highlights their embedded histories and reveals how remnants of the built environment can be reimagined, renewed, and made newly resonant.
