Havana Johansson

Havana Johansson is a visual artist whose practice centres on transforming internal reflection into compelling visual form, exploring emotive themes of life, death and transformation through a surrealist lens. In Havana’s work, she uses acrylic and oil paint on canvas as her medium, depicting stretched, morphed and raw elements of the body as its own canvas for personal and spiritual explorations inspired by Hinduism and philosophy, a common theme in Havana’s upbringing, now integrated into her work. Exhibitions include the 2018 Art Smart Program at Campbelltown Arts Centre and the 2021 HSC Visual Arts Major Works Exhibition at Bradfield Senior College.
