Diane Barnetson

Diane Barnetson Living and working on Dharawal land. Born in Sydney but living in the Illawarra for the past four decades, Diane has worked as a lawyer. In 2019 she embarked on a degree in photography at Wollongong University, transferring to the National Art School in 2023, where she in now completing the third year of her Photomedia major. Diane has exhibited at the Hazelhurst Gallery, Gymea, in 2022; at Project Contemporary ArtSpace, Wollongong, in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, winning the Curator’s Award in 2022; at the National Art School in 2025; and was selected as an entrant in the Ballarat International GradFoto Award in 2021. She was a finalist on the Australian Photography Awards (student category) in 2020.
