Elysia Vernis Ling

Elysia Vernis Ling is a multidisciplinary Asian Australian artist practicing on unceded Gadigal Land (Sydney, Australia). Ling’s diverse practice encompasses performance art, participatory art, photomedia, drawing, painting and installation. The artist’s background in fashion design, floristry and childcare, and her spiritual path into Buddhism informs her aesthetically flamboyant works, often interrogating themes including perceptions of self, gender, aesthetics, consumerism, vulnerability, intimacy and temporality. Ling was selected for the first iteration of Gallery Lane Cove’s 5+5 Emerging Artists show in 2024 with her solo show 'And though I perish daily, I shall not be moved'.
