Elise Sperring
Elise Sperring is an emerging artist studying a Bachelor of Fine Art at the National Art School in Gadigal / Sydney, and based in Dharawal / Wollongong. Working across oil painting and textiles, her personal style reflects her interests in relational perception, ecosystems of care, and sentimentality of a world in flux. Her current work engages with staying grounded in tangible acts of caring that resist defeatism, while empathetically acknowledging the weight of climate anxiety that is carried inequitably, and rest’s privileged nature.
