Constance Mcinerney
Constance Mcinerney (b. 2000, Sydney) is a contemporary Australian painter, practicing in Awabakal country/ Mulubinba (Newcastle, NSW). In 2022, Constance was the recipient of the Hunter Emerging Artist Prize (painting category) and has since exhibited in numerous community focused gallery spaces and programs across Newcastle. In 2023, Constance was selected to participate in EASL,D artist’s residency, in Newcastle’s CBD. Following her residency, McInerney participated as a mentee in the 2024 Newcastle art space mentorship program, tutored by Nigel Milsom and Pablo Tapia. Constance is pursuing a formal education at the National art school (Painting), completing a bachelor of fine arts in 2025.
