Abbey Vella
Abbey Vella (b. 2002) is an emerging Australian artist living and working in South Western Sydney. Her current body of work Darlinghurst Constructions (2025) is a response to her experience in the built environment of the National Art School and surrounding area of Darlinghurst. Her practice involves intuitively piecing together materials; building up, breaking down and rebuilding them again in order to reach a point of subtle complexity. Each painting exists as a constructed object, a layered visual record of the making process.
