Milla Watts

Milla explores a curiosity for time, truth and experience. Action and performance destabilise, and absurd gestures hover between comedy and existential unease. Her practice spans writing, installation and documentation, combining sculptural elements, spinning and dancing. Milla weaves a tragicomedy where nothing is neutral, seeking connection through laughter and malaise. She moves between public and private places, using her body and labour to bring the works into being. It’s more about what you feel than what you think. Through the weaving of personal and universal topics, Milla generates connection and a comedic reverence in the face of absurdly existential works.
