Sherri Casey
Sherri Casey (b. 2004, lives in Sydney, raised in Perth) is a painter of Spanish and English heritage completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the National Art School. Working primarily in traditional oils, she explores the body as a vessel for beauty, instinct, and emotional ambiguity, blending realism with soft atmospheric abstraction. Her interest in figurative painting began early, first through recognition in the Young Archie Portrait Prize and ARTEXPRESS. Influenced by classical art, extensive travel, and her sensitivity to people and their unspoken emotions, Sherri creates dreamlike images shaped by desire, vulnerability and shifting states of feeling.
