Jack Oliver Owen

Jack Oliver Owen (b. 1989, Essex, England) is a Sydney-based multidisciplinary artist completing a Bachelor of Fine Art in Printmaking. Working across expanded print media, drawing and installation, his practice explores queer intimacy and the coded erotics of looking. His graduation series, Dissecting Queer, reworks nineteenth-century anatomical drawings into intimate mezzotints that transform clinical study into a haptic, embodied encounter. An expanded iteration of this project will be exhibited in Queer Contemporary in February 2026. Oliver Owen has exhibited in several group shows, including Qtopia Sydney’s Bandstand, been a finalist in emerging art prizes, and co-founded Pinpoint, an artist-run initiative at NAS.
