Lei Feng
Lei is a Sydney-based artist currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) at the National Art School. Grounded in a lifelong fascination with the poetics of chance, her practice reflects her background in combinatorial probability, where she studied and worked to understand and quantify uncertainty. This enduring compulsion to locate meaning within randomness continues to guide her creative process. Intuitive and process-led, Lei works primarily with water-based media and mixed materials to create abstract works that bridge conceptual inquiry with sensory experience. She has exhibited in group shows, including the Burwood Art Prize (2022), and continues to expand her experimental practice through the exploration of chance and materiality.
