Language and the visual arts are powerful and ambiguous media. I am interested in the dichotomy of the objective and the subjective, in disequilibrium. Interplay between the hard and soft, the lit and obscured, the said and unsaid drive my curiosity to explore materiality, expression and processes in artmaking. A degree in science with a diploma in cardiac sonography formed my early working life. Words have always been there. I completed a master’s degree in Creative writing from UTS. In the BFA from NAS, I have finally allowed my inner voice to speak.
