Cristelle Cabrera

Cristelle Cabrera

Cristelle Cabrera is a Peruvian Australian artist who weaves memory, identity, and belonging through her ceramics. Each vessel becomes a fragment of ancestry—stories pressed into clay, echoing migration and resilience. Cabrera transforms her work into a complex relationship with her cultural identity, creating a raw representation of her constant anxiety of belonging, whilst carrying the realities of hardships within spiritual acceptance. Her process combines slow, hand-built techniques with ritualistic repetition. Cabrera has exhibited her work at Burwood ArtPrize as a finalist in 2024 and in 2025 and will be finishing the year completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Majoring in Ceramics.
